SOCIALIZATION FOR BETTER UMPC

“Storming camaraderie makes a strong studentry” a theme that pertains unity. Last july 6,2014, UMPC held its acquaintance party at the UMPC campus with the students, faculty and staff of the institution. Acquaintance is a yearly event to promote continuous harmony and unity among all students of different deparments. There were about 620 gorgeous and handsome students who join the occasion. There were 152 students in DAE, 229 in DTE, 38 in DASE, and 201 students in DBAE.

The event has four parts for the acquaintance to be effective. Tha part I was the socialization which started at around 3:00 pm, part II was the opening program. The said program was also accompanied by different unity games wherein students enjoyed the activities. Students also in different departments showcased their talents with their intermission numbers. As the event conyinuous , part III which was the dinnerfollowed by the performance of the UMPC bands. Every department prepared their party as well. The last part of the program was the social night. The katigaman dance ensemble also showed their moves as they present their intermission number. With the social night was the awarding ceremony. Ms. Marilou Ocampo got the “agaw pansin award”, Ms. Julie Lou Almendras for “ gandang-ganda sa sarili award”, Mr. Sepe for “gwapong-gwapo sa sarili award”, prof. Jonna Agbones for the “international award” , DTE for the “movie parody” and for the highlight of the social night which was the models of the night, the winners were both from the Department of Accounting Education. The awarding was followed by a band jamming from Sito’s Grill Band.

After all, the acquaintance party was successfully done with the effort of the SSC officers headed by Hon. Jeo Rhen Ongcoy. Governors from different depertments with the guidance of the faculty and staff, with the cooperation of the UMPC students and with the masters of ceremony:Mr. Ruel Montefolka, Mr. Christian Paul Tabanyag, Ms. Swetcell Seguros and Mr. Jeo Rhen Ongcoy. The event trully made the socialization a way to have a better institution. For the next acquaintance 2015 who will be the next popular student?
