There has been a lot of changes that took place in University of Mindanao Panabo College. One is the new gate which is obviously called by many students as “The Golden Gate” and the ongoing construction which seems to be a new entrance. Another is the new building which situated at the back. And the last one is that revamp of staff and faculty that took place in each department. Not to mention the tuition fee has also changed.

Speaking of changes, news writing has been a part of every college institution to help students develop their ability to creatively write a composition that would give them the chance to speak up in behalf of the students or fair and balance information and express their thoughts freely. As a result of diligence and persistence to revive and support the students’ talent in writing, Dr. Celso Tagadiad, a Professor of University of Mindanao Panabo College and an Education Program head, pursued and gathered students who would make the newsletter come to existence possible once again.

This time, with new look and staff, the “The Moment.UM of Education” has come. An inspired newsletter from “Engage” or English Language, The Momentum, for short, has a bigger and wider scope of responsibility in bringing what’s new, what’s hot and what’s not.

One of the many purposes is to bring the truth to every education students the information they need. Second has been mentioned a while ago, that is, to help every students develop their ability to creatively compose news.  And this maybe the last reason, to make a school a better institution where competent education students are trained and quality graduates are produced.

In the future, the paper is looking for prospective writers who want to become a part of this new, fun and exciting.
